Welcome message from Dean

Feb 27, 2024

⧫ Week 1 ⧫ 26 February 2024

A very warm welcome to all students new to YTU, and welcome back to all returning students. We at the College are delighted that you will be joining us for your studies.

As the classes begin, it is worth taking some time to familiarise yourselves with the units you’re enrolled in and their requirements. The lecturers are a superbly supportive team, and they will certainly help you in any way they can. So let them know of any questions or issues you may have at this stage or anytime later during the semester. For over fifty years, the College has been Catholic by tradition and ecumenically conversational in sensibility. It is this sense of being bound together in the common work of God for the gracious redemption of all things within the embracive love of God that our various ministries have their form and take shape. Our units are designed to reflect this ethos as our approach to teaching.

Once again, we welcome you to sharing in our community of learning in these rich
pathways that witness to God’s care for all God’s creatures. I wish you all well.

Prof. John C. McDowell
