Rosie is a Brigidine Sister who lectures in canon law. Her early years were spent in teaching and as the Principal of four different secondary schools.

Rosie has been the Provincial Leader of her Congregation and is also a past President of Catholic Religious Australia, the peak body representing the Congregations of Women and Men Religious in Australia. She is currently an adviser on canonical issues for religious Congregations and her thesis was titled, The Understanding and Practice of the Vow of Obedience by a Selected Group of Women Religious: An Australian Study.

Rosie is a Judge on the Marriage Tribunal for Victoria and Tasmania and a Judge for the Appeal Tribunal for Australia and New Zealand. She is also a member of the Canon Law Society of Australia and New Zealand. Earlier this year she convened a very successful weekend workshop on The Principles and Practice of Church Governance which drew participants from most Australian states.
